After spending the past couple of weeks learning more about inquiry based learning, I am feeling much more comfortable and confident with the topic. I have learned that inquiry based lessons look different in each classroom, and also with each activity; there is no one way to take an inquiry based approach. There are many different forms of inquiry, such as teacher-directed, student-directed, and teacher-student shared, and while these different approaches have some guidelines, they can still overlap in certain areas. If you're wondering what the different approaches entail, here is a brief description:

- teacher-directed approach: This is a structured task that has been created by the teacher. Students are using resources provided by the teacher to apply their knowledge.
- student-directed approach: This is a student-centered task that involves open inquiry, where students are learning on their own (or with a group) and their learning is driven by their own questions.
- teacher-student shared approach: In this guided approach, the teacher and student work together to determine the tasks for students to complete, but the teacher acts as a guide and offers less support and guidance.
